Jenny Thornton

I studied in the School of Fine Arts at Auburn University for a short time but, with much thought, changed majors to something that afforded a little more income stability .  After being in the work force for many years, I became a stay-at-home mom for two of the greatest joys of my life.  During that time I would occasionally pick up a paintbrush or dabble in other creative outlets such as hand-tinting portraits, ceramics, scrapbooking, quilting….ad infinitum.
It was not until after my mom (who was an accomplished artist in her own right) passed away in 2004, that I began to paint.  It was a wonderful means of healing, of just escaping the cares of the world.

Since that time, I have engaged in several art workshops and weekly acrylic and pastel classes. My artwork can currently be found at ‘Four Seasons’ in Homewood, Al, ‘Easy Street’ in Hoover, Al, and on Etsy website.

Painting has been, and is, truly an adventure to love!
